Seed - Northern Climates

Sun Seed - A hearty blend of Bluegrass with improved disease resistance and can be maintained at lower cutting heights.

Maize Turf provides a high quality product that will not burn , is non-staining and has no unpleasant odors. This formula contains 65% controlled release nitrogen (for long lasting green), applied at lower rates (reduces labor costs), is in an homogenous prill form (no dust) and adds necessary organic matter, natural microbe's combined with microbial stimulants, and humic acids to the soil. Maize Turf is an natural based fertilizer for the customer that desires a slow growing, dense turf with exceptional color without negatively effecting the environment. Suitable for a wide range of soil types including light soils that normally allow many fertilizers to leach into ground water tables.

Agronomic Results:

Maize Turf will green-up turf within 15 days after application. You can expect to see new grass shoots and excellent color. After 1 year of using Maize Turf uneven areas of the lawn (slight bumps) will be less evident and if the P.H. of the soil is not less than 7.0 extraordinary results can be expected. An increased resistance to drought, temperature stress, fungus problems is also common.

Application rates will vary depending on turf and soil conditions.

Fair to good turf conditions...

If the area to be treated is in fair to good condition apply 5 lbs. per 1,000 square feet (218 lbs. per acre) every 5 - 6 weeks or as needed.

Poor to fair conditions and newly seeded areas...

If it is in poor to fair condition apply at 10 lbs. per 1,000 square feet (436 lbs. per acre) every 4 - 5 weeks until the turf achieves your expectations, then reduce to 5 lbs. per 1,000 square feet.
